Amaury de Riencourt
Amaury de Riencourt (born 12 June 1918 in Orleans, France died 13 January 2005 at Bellevue, Switzerland)〔(Amaury de Riencourt )〕 was a historian, an expert on Southeast Asia, Indian scholar, sinologist, tibetologist, Americanist〔 K. Amaury de Riencourt was born in Orleans in a family of the French nobility which dates back at least to the 12th century.〔 He graduated from university in the Sorbonne and did masters at the University of Algiers.〔Alain Joly, (Amaury de Riencourt )〕
